A Child’s Cry

Life is changed,

Abruptly.

when a crying child’s prayer

seems unanswered.

—-

Was he changed,

whose innocence led

Abruptly

to his crucifixion?

—–

I asked,

I grumbled,

Shouted,

His reply humbled

me.

—–

I am there, I hold them

in my heart,

I weep for the prayers

unanswered,

as powers refuse my word.

——

I am in the collapsed hospital,

I feel each shot,

the terrible torture of loss,

repeated, repeated, repeated.

—–

I am in the heart of the killer,

but they turn away,

I am in the heart of the politician

and only few give way.

——

Keep praying,

don’t give up.

I am there

like the air,

in each and

Every prayer.
